Attitude of Gratitude...

Even if it's Wednesday...

Today I am thankful for:

1. 40 comments on a nothing post--made me laugh on an otherwise difficult 2 days
2. McDonalds French Fries--the only thing that works some days too keep the food down
3. Automatic Dishwashers--so I don't have to wash the stinkies by hand (and end up not keeping the food down)
4. The thought of fuzzy slippers--knowing bending to get socks on is a chore
5. Toothbrushes--enough said
6. And yet another start to spring--hearing my children laugh outside made me smile
7. My children--for being very thoughtful and forgiving even at their young ages
8. My husband--for cooking the chicken and putting the kids to bed
9. Diet Coke--no comments please
10. A loving, merciful, gracious Father God--for paying the price for all of our mistakes and bad days.

"The Lord is gracious and compassionate....slow to anger and rich in love....as far as the east is from the west....THAT"S HOW FAR HE HAS REMOVED OUR TRANGESSIONS FROM US!!!"

Ah, miss Amy... that 40 comment post has made me laugh in the last few days! Put your slippered feet up, get yourself a cold can of Diet Coke, lay back on the couch with your McyDee's fries and shout your praise! God IS gracious and compassionate - even if we don't always feel it and even if we don't always feel we deserve it. I love ya friend. I miss you more every day. Kiss everyone in your delicious little family and give yourself a little smacker tonight when you're done brushing your teeth! MUAH!

Can't believe how much discussion happened over a possible "who is it??" Quite funny.

Thank God for hubbies who help us along the journey....... mine has always been amazing at stepping in when I needed help. Thank God for that.

You oughta be the McDee's Hottie advertiser, they'd sell more watching you eat their fries! LOL!

Are you generally sick this far into your pregnancies?

Shari,

With Isaiah it stopped around week 16. With Hannah it continued until 4 days before she was born. Must be a girl thing.? All those hormones...lol.

Amy.....I am resisting the urge to comment on the diet coke. Although to comment on not commenting is kinda like commenting...only you don't really know what I am thinking...so I am keeping it to myself sorta there. But then...if you REALLY didn't want a comment on it...would you have posted it? So...here is your non-comment comment...you can post it or not!lol

I feel for you friend. I was sick with Isabella until she came out. Only then did I feel fantastic! I lost 25 lbs while pregnant with her... I guess that's the upside to being sick every day for 9 months! Just think... not much longer. I just wish I lived near by... I'd take the kids for a few days so you could sleep!
Have a good one today... have a diet coke on me! MUAH

It was a girl thing for me. Definitely. I was sick for 5 months with Sarah. Not fun. I even ended up staying with my mom for a week. Had to take gravol because I was losing too much weight. :(

You do what you've got to do to get through it.

But even after all that, the day she was born, I wanted to do it again.

My Mom was sick with me the ENTIRE pregnancy. They wanted to put her on this "wonder drug" but she didn't feel right about it.....THANKFULLY!! The aftermath for babies whose Mom's had taken the drug were heartbreaking - the drug was band.

It will be sooooo worth it when you get to hold your baby girl!!

p.s. how do you remain so positive while constantly being sick?

Call me if Hannah (Isaiah...if he'll come) want a play afternoon....Jianna and I can be very entertaining while mama sleeps.
By the way, Mark is still chuckling over his prank!

At least it's sunny and warm...

I noticed that your brother was not mentioned in your top 10 gratitude list. Interesting, from where I stand he seems to be the ROCK of the Beaumont clan. I realize you are a Lockwood however you still have ties to the Beaumont clan. I find that his absence from this list is a travesty. Knowing Jason as I do I am sure that it probably doesn't bother him as he does have broad shoulders.
Have a nice day and God bless

Thanks guys. I feel much better today. After work, the kids and I went to the mall to get some slippers!! had chinese food, and some icecream. It was great.

Shari,
I'm not always positive..lol..just ask Mike..(he's the one I cry too)..but I do have a great role model in my mother...she always used to say "If that's the worst thing that's happened to you..then..." (I'm sure we've all heard it) But it kind of stuck. And really, children are such a blessing, being able to carry them is an absolute miracle, and, we all know life passes SO quickly-- I know that she will be here before I know it, and I will miss the good things about pregnancy. Why waste time wallowing? It's almost as bad as wasting time fighting...
So, it's ALL good...
Plus, I was sicker (more sick) ? with Hannah, so this is a walk in the park.
