Me mudder'd be so prawd o' me.....

I had been talking for years about trying my hand at decorating cakes. I thought it might come in handy since I will have quite a few birthday party's to host in the coming years. I never did get "around to it". Until now. A few months ago my mom bought me Course #1. I think she thought I needed a break. Lol. A nursing mom with 2 other children, she said I was being "too tough" on the kids. So maybe I did need a break? Well I enjoyed #1 so much, that I purchased Course#2. I finished last night. I had so much fun. I am hoping that once I am back to work I will be taking Course #3 and maybe Course #4. Here is my finished product from last nights class. Those of you who decorate, don't look TOO close..lol. I know with practice it only gets better!!

So here you are "mudder". Aren't ya prawd o' me? (HA!)

Yummy Yum Yum!
It looks awsome.
I still can't figure out with all the tips I have received how to decorate a cake without the top coming off and mixing with the icing. Hahahahaha

Beautiful Amy!
I have to come over some time, so you can teach me the rose. I have fooled around with cake decorating since I was 8, but never took a class, and have been very intimidated by the rose...yours look awesome!

Way to go Amy - I'm very impressed. My cake decorating skills aren't the greatest.

When the kids were little I'd take a cake into their school class rooms to share with the entire class. My wonderfully decorated cake would be rice crispy squares (to avoid cake crumbs) with chocolate icing and COVERED in smarties, gummy worms and tons of junk food.
It never looked the great but none of the kids complained.

Way to go Amy!
It has been years since I have attempted a cake. I had a big cake fiasco at one of Calia's birthday parties and have bought mine ever since. Yours looks great.

Oh cool! The birds and flowers look really hard to make! I had a cake once that looked like a record, was really cool. Good job!
