The difference between boys and girls in my home..

A discussion we had this morning...

A short, yet loud, smelly, "puff of wind" was let off by my 3yr old son...

"Ahaha-ha  Ahaha-ha, I farted"  "Did you  hear me?  I farted" He says laughing the whole time.

I give him a stern look.

"Oops, 'scuse me" He says. So quick and quiet that only a mother could hear and understand.  He continues laughing.

"You TOOTED, NOT farted.  And it's grosse"  Hannah says

I laugh suddenly.
I sing a silly song.  "Fee fi fo fum, Isaiah has a stinky bum"

Isaiah laughs.  And laughs.  Hannah gives me a stern look.

"Mama, that's rude.  And it's grosse"  She says.

"Sing it again mama." Isaiah laughs.

Hannah leaves the room.

I was like Hannah growing up....I still (jokingly) try to get my boys to say "fluffy" or at least "toot".
I grew up in a home where the other four members had no problem expelling and laughing about gas and other things I thought were gross....They all called me the "prude".

It was "fluff" or "toot" at our house, when I grew up!!! Hee-Hee...

Well, Hannah didn't approve, but I bet that Isaiah thought you were a pretty cool momma that day!

Gotta tell ya ... most of our family is known as "Fartin' Martins" for a reason!! I try to make sure the many talents are kept for when we are alone.

Too cute for words, I always wanted the kids to say "TOOT" but on some occasions it was more than that.....check out the pics I posted!!!!!

Oh, the body noises phase. Keegan has been in this phase for the last six years. I have one rule I am very strict about in regards to this and it is "No bathroom talk at the table".
Well, the other day we were chatting around the supper table and we were coming up for acronyms for everybodys name. We were halfway through Cliffs and coming up to the last two letters of his name. Calia pipes up and says "Fantastic Farter". The whole family was in stitches, especially the kids.
I don't think they ever leave the "body noises are funny" phase.

When Ryan was little he would say "I did a butt burp"... One day he came to me crying - "Mommy I did a butt burp and a bubble came out"... my son had the runs!!! Too funny!!
