The Gift of Worship

As a "worship leader"'s wife...this is close to my heart.

Take a moment and watch.

Let it sink in.

Amy,

Thank you for posting this. As you know, I've written about this similarly. We've turned worship into the 35 minutes, the songs, the worship leader, and "event", the "sense that God is there". My friendships with Ruis, Upton, Prosch, delirious and many others who are considered the forefront of "prophetic worship" have proven that they are the first to understand this...and the first to step down from the pedestal. Worship is the cup of cold water, the brightness of the flower, the laughter of our children, our spouses prayers for us, feeding the poor, listening to Dylan breathe in the room across the hall…God, coursing through my life…His DNA inextricably linked with mine. It’s not all about Him…it’s all Him. “About” is still too far away…

I can't view this, as my computer is being fixed. Neat that you are married to a worship leader! I remember growing up in a church where sometimes we'd have worship during the whole service, if the Spirit led it to. Awesome.

When Kevin played this video in church it hit me hard. Mike was sitting next to me and I said I must find that video.
Your Husband graciously sent it to me and not only have I emailed it out to many but watch it every day.It really made me think clearly on how I worship God.
DC says it beautifully
"About is still too far away"

Awesome video clip. So true.

"Worship is a huge thing." How can it NOT be important to us? It's not the songs or words or music style - it's a personal time with my God. I close my eyes (and block out every distraction around me) and worship - God & me. My gift to Him. Expressing my heart to Him.

Sad when our gift is criticized or devalued. God accepts the gift offered from our hearts.
